A Unique Hike to the Mythical Corycian Cave

The route begins at Livadi Parnassou, at an altitude of 1,100 metres, following an accessible country dirt road for 2.5 kilometres. The ascent takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours and leads to the impressive Corycian Cave, one of the most significant caves of the ancient world, situated at an altitude of 1,350 metres.

You will have approximately one hour to explore the cave, discover its history and mythology, and take in the beauty of its unique natural surroundings.

The return follows the same route, with an enjoyable 2.5-kilometre descent back to the starting point.

Recommended equipment:

All Year Round: Comfortable hiking shoes or boots, a backpack, a reusable water bottle or regular water bottle, and any personal medication.

Spring – Summer: Lightweight, breathable clothing, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.

Autumn – Winter: Warm layers, an insulated jacket, thermal base layers, a waterproof or windproof jacket, gloves and a warm hat.

DelphiTrekk reserves the right to cancel, postpone or modify any scheduled hike in the event of adverse weather conditions, unsafe trail conditions or other exceptional circumstances beyond its control (force majeure).

Any such decision will be made solely with the safety of participants in mind.

In the event of cancellation by DelphiTrekk, every reasonable effort will be made to offer an alternative date or provide a refund, in accordance with the company’s Cancellation Policy.
